At the tender age of 13, our founder faced a life-altering tragedy that would shape the course of his life and the lives of countless others. Losing his mother, the family’s primary breadwinner, thrust him and his siblings into a world of uncertainty. The basic necessities that many take for granted—education, healthcare, and even a daily meal—became luxuries that were suddenly out of reach. The loss of his mother marked the beginning of a struggle that many children in disadvantaged communities face daily.
Despite the hardships, it was the memory of his mother’s unwavering kindness and generosity that became a beacon of hope in his darkest hours. She was a woman who, even with limited resources, never hesitated to extend a helping hand to those in need. Her compassion and selflessness left an indelible mark on him, instilling in him the values of empathy and charity.
Years later, as he grappled with the devastating loss of his father, he was reminded once again of the profound impact that love and kindness can have on a person’s life. His father, like his mother, was a pillar of strength and compassion, always prioritizing the well-being of others. The pain of losing both parents was overwhelming, but it also reignited his determination to ensure that no child should ever endure the hardships he faced.
Driven by the legacy of his parents, our founder established the Veronique Ntube Foundation. His mission is clear: to provide children and the less privileged with the opportunities he was denied. He believes that no child should have to struggle to access education, healthcare, or basic needs. His compassion stems from a deep understanding of suffering, and it fuels his commitment to creating a better future for the next generation.
